The Heads of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria have unanimously approved the minimum JAMB 2026 Cut-Off Mark scores for the 2026 admission exercise across the country.
According to the agreement, candidates seeking admission into Universities and Colleges of Nursing must score at least 150 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Meanwhile, Polytechnics across Nigeria will accept a minimum score of 100.

The Heads of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria had unanimously agreed that the Minimum Admissible Scores for admissions into Universities should be 150, Colleges of Nursing, 150, and Polytechnics, 100.

The new admission benchmark is expected to guide institutions during the 2026 admission process. However, individual schools may still set higher departmental cut-off marks depending on competition and available admission slots.
